The Bubble & Bathe Story
Bubble & Bathe started with a love of anything that smelled amazing, long before it was a business. Every Christmas, it was bath bombs and candles at the top of the list. Some people collect stamps. I collected anything that made a shower feel like an event.
Before all this, I was a senior hair stylist. Then lockdown happened, salons closed, and suddenly I had time on my hands for the first time in years. In that spare time, I found a soap maker on YouTube, Royalty Soaps, and got completely hooked on the idea of making my own just for fun, just for me and my family, no plan to sell anything.
From soap, I found candles. From candles, I found a proper love of scent itself the kind of obsession where you can't walk past a fragrance without wanting to know what's in it. Somewhere in there, before it even had a name, Bubble & Bathe quietly began.
Once I realised people other than my family might actually want this stuff, I spent lockdown learning the legal side properly the safety assessments (CPSRs), the regulations around anything that touches skin until the first real bath bombs launched, sold from a Facebook page and an Etsy shop. It grew from there, and it's been growing (with a few detours) ever since.
Handmade still means handmade. Every product is made by hand, right here in Bideford, North Devon bath bombs, shower steamers, soap sponges, whipped soaps, and more. Being small doesn't mean being lesser. If anything, it means every batch gets properly looked after.
What We Want You to Feel
Not "treat yourself" as in spend a fortune treat yourself as in give yourself permission to feel good. A shower or bath that smells incredible, made with ingredients that are gentle and safe on your skin. A proper little mood boost, built into your everyday routine.
Fun for everyone, not just for kids and not just for luxury spa days bright, playful, and made to actually be used, not just look nice on a shelf.
Still Me, Still Handmade
Bubble & Bathe is still very much a one-person operation, made with the same care as day one just with a few more scents and a lot more experience since 2020. Every bath bomb, every shower steamer, every soap sponge has genuinely been through my hands.
